Gothic Lolita Fashion Makes Its Way From Japan To Mexico (PHOTOS) (Huffington post)
Girls donning frilly tops, bell-shaped skirts, knee-high socks and rocking
horse shoes appear in the photos of the Facebook page of the group "Lolitas
Paradise." The group site is a meeting point for Mexican girls who are are
interested in the fashion subculture of Gothic Lolitas which has made its way
from Japan to Monterrey, in Northern Mexico.
The fashion style -- often referred to as 'nymphet'-inspired styles in high
fashion magazines -- is actually influenced by grand but modest fashion
periods.
"The style is connected to a more elegant time, to the era of Alice in
Wonderland, the Victorian and Rococo eras" said La Carmina, travel TV host and
fashion blogger whose focus is on Japanese street styles. "There's a whole

Victorian-style Bedroom?
Moving to a new house! I've been sick of having a normal white-wall, wood-floor, full-bed bedroom, so I am trying to design a bedroom based off the Victorian Era! (by Victorian, i mean like four-poster bed with dark, rick colors. No frilly lace curtains, i want a Secret-Garden-esque bedchamber.) Space is not an issue, as i will be getting the finished basement for my room. However, my budget is. Any suggestions on how to put together a grand Victorian bedroom? All suggestions appreciated =)
Why not try mydeco.com for inspiration and also use their 3D room planner to design your room. You can experiment with different colours, add wallpaper or wall art, change or add light fixtures, add windows and doors to the room, add furniture and move the furniture around in the room and view the room from different angles too. It helped me when I was decorating my room and saved me a lot of time and money and it's easy to use and very helpful if you're unsure about what it is that you want exactly.
