John Faas of Lawrenceville (tribunereview)

John "Jack" Faas, 83, of Lawrenceville, died Friday, April 13, 2012. He was
the son of the late John and Cecelia (Gallagher) Faas; beloved brother of
Florence Krepin and the late Cecelia Swiderski and Dorothy Johnston; loving
uncle of Ronald (Helen) Swiderski, John (JoAnn) Swiderski, Kitty (Tex) Simpson
and the late Robert (surviving wife, Karen) Johnston. Jack was an "Uncle" to
great-nieces and nephews, many extended family members and all who knew him.
Jack served in the Army during World War II and was a retired city of
Pittsburgh firefighter with 32 years of service and retired from Engine
Company No. 6. Family and friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the
WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th St., Lawrenceville. Funeral Mass at
10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Angles Parish, St. Augustine Church.
